This website is operated by Kristen Johnson ("I", "me"), based in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. I respect your privacy and handle any personal data in line with UAE Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 on the Protection of Personal Data (PDPL) and, where applicable to visitors from other regions, equivalent data protection laws such as the EU/UK GDPR.
This site does not use cookies for tracking, does not run advertising, and does not require you to create an account. Personal data reaches me in only two ways: if you contact me by email, phone, or a contact form on this site, I receive the details you choose to share (such as your name, email address, phone number, and the content of your message); and my hosting provider may process technical data (such as IP address, browser type, and pages visited) in server logs and privacy-respecting analytics, used solely to keep the site secure and functioning.
I use the information you send me only to respond to your enquiry, discuss potential work, and maintain our professional relationship. I do not sell, rent, or trade personal data. I do not use it for automated decision-making or marketing lists. If we enter into a working relationship, your details are kept as part of ordinary business records.
Your data is not shared with third parties except service providers necessary to operate this site and my business (such as email and hosting providers), or where disclosure is required by law. As I work internationally, data may be processed on servers outside the UAE; where that happens, I rely on providers that maintain appropriate safeguards consistent with the PDPL's requirements for cross-border transfers.
I keep correspondence only as long as needed for the purpose it was sent, or as required for legitimate business and legal purposes, and delete it when it is no longer necessary.
Under the PDPL (and equivalent laws where they apply to you), you have the right to request access to the personal data I hold about you, ask for correction or deletion, object to or restrict processing, and withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. To exercise any of these rights, email me at kjcreativeworks.ae@gmail.com and I will respond within a reasonable period. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the UAE Data Office or your local supervisory authority.
This site links to external platforms such as LinkedIn and Instagram. Those platforms operate under their own privacy policies, which I do not control.
If the way this site handles data changes, for example if analytics or a contact form is added, this policy will be updated and the date above revised.
